Tsunami CORE 25 CFM Single Tower Desiccant Air Dryer

Compact Point-of-Use Desiccant Dryer | Dew Points Down to -80°F | Available With or Without Pre-Filtration

Short Product Description

The Tsunami CORE 25 CFM Single Tower Desiccant Air Dryer provides exceptionally dry compressed air for intermittent point-of-use applications, delivering dew points down to -80°F . Available with or without Tsunami two-stage pre-filtration, the CORE dryer features a replaceable dual-layer desiccant cartridge, low pressure drop, simple maintenance, and a compact design ideal for paint, coating, automotive, and moisture-sensitive compressed air applications.

Full Product Description

The Tsunami CORE 25 CFM Single Tower Desiccant Air Dryer is designed for applications that require extremely dry compressed air without the size, complexity, or air consumption of a regenerative desiccant dryer.

Rated for up to 25 CFM , the CORE dryer removes water vapor from compressed air and can produce dew points as low as -80°F . This makes it an excellent choice for automotive refinishing, professional paint and coating applications, small shops, and other intermittent point-of-use applications where moisture can affect product quality or equipment performance.

At the center of the CORE dryer is Tsunami's replaceable dual-layer desiccant cartridge . The cartridge combines two types of media to help eliminate desiccant dusting and prevent air from tunneling through the media. This forces the compressed air to make better contact with the desiccant, improving drying performance and extending media life.

Tsunami states that the CORE design provides approximately 20–25% longer media life than competing brands .

The CORE 25 CFM dryer is available in two configurations :

  • PN 21999-1225 – With Pre-Filtration: Includes the CORE desiccant dryer, first-stage water separator, and second-stage oil coalescing filter.
  • PN 21999-1235 – Without Pre-Filtration: Includes the CORE desiccant dryer for applications where proper upstream filtration is already installed.

The pre-filtration package removes bulk liquid water, oils, and fine particulate contamination before the compressed air reaches the desiccant cartridge. Proper pre-filtration helps protect the desiccant media and maximize cartridge service life.

Inside the dryer, filtered compressed air travels downward around the desiccant cartridge before entering the dual-layer media. Water vapor is adsorbed by the desiccant, and the dry compressed air then passes through an internal 10-micron filter disk before exiting the dryer.

A color-changing moisture indicator provides a convenient visual indication of air conditions, while the replaceable cartridge design makes routine maintenance fast and straightforward.

Benefits

Exceptionally Dry Compressed Air

The CORE dryer removes water vapor from compressed air and can achieve dew points down to -80°F , providing extremely dry air for moisture-sensitive applications.

Protects Paint and Finishing Quality

Moisture and oil contamination can create fisheyes, poor adhesion, blemishes, and other finish problems. The CORE dryer helps supply clean, dry air for professional paint and coating applications.

Choose the Filtration Package You Need

Select the 21999-1225 with pre-filtration for a complete point-of-use filtration and drying package, or choose the 21999-1235 without pre-filtration when suitable upstream filtration is already installed.

Longer Desiccant Life

The dual-layer cartridge design improves airflow through the desiccant media and helps prevent tunneling, allowing more of the media to effectively remove water vapor.

Easy Maintenance

Instead of replacing the complete dryer, the desiccant media is contained in a replaceable cartridge that can be quickly removed and replaced when service is required.

Compact Point-of-Use Design

The CORE Series provides high-performance desiccant drying in a compact package that can be installed close to the equipment or process requiring dry air.

Best For

The Tsunami CORE 25 CFM Desiccant Air Dryer is an excellent choice for:

  • Automotive painting and refinishing
  • Collision and body shops
  • Professional paint applications
  • Spray booths
  • Professional coatings
  • DIY paint and body shops
  • Small fabrication shops
  • Pneumatic tools requiring very dry air
  • Moisture-sensitive compressed air processes
  • Intermittent point-of-use compressed air applications

Why Choose the Tsunami CORE 25 CFM Desiccant Dryer?

The Tsunami CORE is an excellent solution when a compressed air application needs significantly drier air than a refrigerated air dryer can provide but does not require a large regenerative desiccant dryer.

Its compact point-of-use design allows the dryer to be installed close to the application, while the replaceable dual-layer desiccant cartridge simplifies maintenance and helps maximize media performance.

For installations without adequate upstream filtration, the 21999-1225 complete system adds a water separator and oil coalescing filter ahead of the dryer. Applications that already have suitable filtration can use the more compact 21999-1235 dryer-only configuration .

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the capacity of the Tsunami CORE desiccant dryer?

The Tsunami CORE model shown here is rated for compressed air applications up to 25 CFM .

What dew point can the Tsunami CORE 25 CFM dryer achieve?

The CORE Series can provide compressed air with dew points down to approximately -80°F , making it suitable for applications requiring extremely dry compressed air.

What is the difference between part numbers 21999-1225 and 21999-1235?

PN 21999-1225 includes the 25 CFM CORE dryer along with a first-stage water separator and second-stage oil coalescing filter.
