Tsunami 50 Series Moisture Minder Filter Drain – 21999-0795
Automatically remove accumulated condensate from your compressed air filtration system with the Tsunami 21999-0795 Moisture Minder Filter Drain . Designed specifically for 50 Series Tsunami filters , this pneumatic drain mounts directly to the filter housing and provides dependable automatic condensate removal without requiring electricity.
The Moisture Minder uses an intermittent pneumatic pilot signal to cycle the drain. This makes it a simple, reliable solution for helping prevent water and contamination from collecting inside the filter bowl.
Key Features
- Genuine Tsunami Moisture Minder filter drain
- Designed for 50 Series Tsunami filters
- Rated for 50 CFM filter applications

How the Moisture Minder Works
Condensate collects inside the drain during normal filter operation. When the Moisture Minder receives a pneumatic pilot signal, the internal piston shifts and allows condensate to enter the pressurized discharge reservoir.
When the pilot signal is relieved, the piston returns to its resting position and the accumulated condensate is discharged.
This pneumatic operating design allows the drain to automatically remove condensate while helping prevent unnecessary pressure loss from the compressed air system.
Pilot Signal Requirements
The Tsunami 21999-0795 requires a separate intermittent pneumatic pilot signal to operate.
A suitable pilot signal may be supplied by:
- An available intermittent pneumatic signal from the compressor or compressed air system
- A compressor unloader signal, when appropriate
- A Tsunami Drain Minder II Controller
The Drain Minder II Controller can be used to provide a timed pneumatic signal when another suitable pilot source is not available.
Why Use an Automatic Filter Drain?
Water and other condensate removed by compressed air filtration collect inside the filter housing. If this liquid is not regularly drained, it can build up and negatively affect filtration performance.
Automatic drainage helps:
- Prevent condensate accumulation inside the filter
- Reduce manual maintenance
- Maintain proper filter operation
- Protect downstream air dryers and filtration equipment
- Reduce moisture reaching pneumatic tools and equipment
- Help prevent contamination from being carried downstream
- Improve overall compressed air system reliability
