FS-Curtis NXB06 – 7.5 HP Fixed Speed Rotary Screw Air Compressor – Base Mounted

Short Product Description

The FS-Curtis NXB06 7.5 HP Fixed Speed Rotary Screw Air Compressor is a compact, quiet, continuous-duty compressed air solution designed for automotive shops, machine shops, fabrication facilities, maintenance departments, and light industrial applications.

Delivering up to 29.2 CFM at 100 PSI, the NXB06 is available in pressure configurations from 100 to 175 PSI, along with single-phase and three-phase electrical configurations and a choice of iCommand controllers.

The base-mounted design is ideal for installations using an existing air receiver or for customers who want to pair the compressor with a separately sized tank.

Full Product Description

The FS-Curtis NXB06 combines the efficiency and continuous-duty capabilities of a rotary screw compressor with a compact package well suited for smaller commercial and industrial compressed air systems.

Powered by a 7.5 HP / 5.5 kW motor, the NXB06 produces 29.19 CFM at 100 PSI, with additional factory configurations available for 125, 150, and 175 PSI operation.

Unlike a reciprocating compressor that repeatedly cycles on and off, the NXB06 is designed for 100% continuous-duty operation, delivering smooth, pulsation-free compressed air for applications with sustained air demand. FS-Curtis specifically positions the NX Series for applications requiring reliable performance, steady airflow, and quieter operation.

The enclosed package incorporates an FS-Curtis ES14 rotary screw airend, TEFC motor, belt drive, standard aftercooler, and FS-Curtis eCOOL® Technology to help control internal heat and protect critical components.

Because this is the base-mounted version, an air receiver is not included. This gives you the flexibility to connect the compressor to an existing receiver or select a tank size appropriate for your compressed air system.

Benefits

Continuous-Duty Performance

The NXB06 is designed for applications where compressed air is required for extended periods throughout the workday. Its rotary screw design provides steady airflow without the repeated cycling associated with a traditional reciprocating compressor.

Quiet Operation

FS-Curtis engineered the NX Series with sound insulation and an enclosed cabinet to reduce compressor noise. Depending on operating pressure, the NXB06 has published sound levels of approximately 65 to 68 dBA.

Compact Footprint

At approximately 30" long × 24" wide × 38" high, the NXB06 provides substantial compressed air output without consuming a large amount of floor space.

Flexible Base-Mount Design

Already have an air receiver? The base-mounted NXB06 allows the compressor to be incorporated into an existing compressed air system without purchasing another receiver tank.

Improved Heat Management

FS-Curtis eCOOL® Technology uses strategic component placement and optimized cooling airflow to reduce thermal stress and improve compressor reliability.

Simplified Maintenance

The NX Series utilizes service-friendly components including a spin-on air/oil separator, helping make scheduled compressor maintenance easier.

FS-Curtis eCOOL® Technology

Heat is one of the biggest enemies of an air compressor.

FS-Curtis developed eCOOL® Technology to help isolate critical compressor components from heat generated during compression. The system combines intelligent component placement with optimized airflow through the compressor enclosure.

According to FS-Curtis, this design helps improve cooling, reduce thermal stress, and extend the service life of critical compressor components.

FS-Curtis NXGEN Extended Warranty

Eligible FS-Curtis NX Series compressors are backed by the NXGEN Extended Warranty Program.

Warranty Coverage

  • 5-Year Major Components Warranty
  • 10-Year Airend Warranty

The compressor must be registered and maintained using FS-Curtis Genuine Parts and Lubricants according to the manufacturer's required maintenance schedule to maintain extended warranty eligibility.

Why Choose the FS-Curtis NXB06?

The NXB06 hits an attractive middle ground for businesses that have outgrown a reciprocating compressor but do not require a larger industrial rotary screw package.

You get:

  • Nearly 30 CFM at 100 PSI
  • Continuous-duty operation
  • A compact footprint
  • Quiet operation
  • Multiple pressure configurations
  • Single- or three-phase power options
  • Choice of compressor controllers
  • Proven FS-Curtis rotary screw technology
  • Flexibility to use your own air receiver

For businesses that rely on compressed air every day, the NXB06 provides a substantial step up from a traditional piston compressor without jumping into a much larger compressor package.

Why Buy from Compressed Air Advisors Online?

Choosing the right rotary screw compressor involves more than matching horsepower.

At Compressed Air Advisors Online, we help customers evaluate:

  • Required CFM
  • Operating pressure
  • Available voltage and phase
  • Compressor duty cycle
  • Air receiver requirements
  • Dryer requirements
  • Filtration
  • Piping
  • Current and future air demand

Our goal is to make sure you purchase a compressor that fits the application rather than simply selling you the machine with the biggest number on the nameplate.

Not sure which NXB06 configuration you need? Contact Compressed Air Advisors and we'll help size the complete compressed air system.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much air does the FS-Curtis NXB06 produce?

Airflow depends on the selected operating pressure. The NXB06 produces approximately 29.19 CFM at 100 PSI, 27.10 CFM at 125 PSI, 24.20 CFM at 150 PSI, and 21.58 CFM at 175 PSI.

Is the NXB06 designed for continuous operation?

Yes. The FS-Curtis NX Series is designed for 100% continuous-duty operation, making it appropriate for applications with sustained compressed air demand.

Does the NXB06 include an air tank?

No. This product is the base-mounted compressor package. It is designed to connect to a separate or existing compressed air receiver.

Can I get the NXB06 in single-phase power?

Yes. The NXB06 is available in a single-phase configuration as well as three-phase configurations.

What three-phase voltages are available?

Three-phase configurations are available for 200V, 230V, and 460V electrical systems.

What pressure should I select?

That depends on the pressure required by your equipment. Using a higher compressor pressure than necessary generally reduces available CFM, so the compressor should normally be selected around the actual pressure requirements of the application.

What is the difference between iCommand and iCommand Touch?

The optional iCommand-Touch adds a touchscreen interface with enhanced system monitoring, historical operating information, trending, graphing, maintenance information, and pressure and temperature monitoring.

How loud is the FS-Curtis NXB06?

Published sound levels vary by operating pressure but are approximately 65 to 68 dBA.

What size air connection does the NXB06 use?

The compressor has a 1/2" NPT compressed air outlet.

What warranty is available on the NXB06?

Eligible NX Series compressors can qualify for the FS-Curtis NXGEN Extended Warranty, which provides a 5-year warranty on major components and a 10-year airend warranty, subject to FS-Curtis registration and maintenance requirements.
