Return and Freight Policy

Shipping, Lead Time, Cancellation, Return and Freight Policy

Effective Date: August 30, 2025

Thank you for choosing Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc.

Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. sells industrial air compressors, compressed-air treatment equipment, replacement parts, piping systems, electrical components, and related industrial products. Many of these products are shipped directly from manufacturers, configured for a specific application, or produced after an order is placed.

Please review this policy carefully before submitting an order.

1. Scope and Acceptance

This Shipping, Lead Time, Cancellation, Return and Freight Policy applies to purchases made through:

  • www.compressedairadvisors.com;

  • Electronic invoices;

  • Written quotations;

  • Telephone orders;

  • Email orders;

  • Shopify draft orders; and

  • Other orders accepted by Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc.

By placing an order after being given an opportunity to review this policy, the customer acknowledges and agrees to its terms.

Product-specific terms displayed on a product page, quotation, electronic invoice, order acknowledgment, or other written communication before purchase are incorporated into this policy.

When a product-specific term conflicts with this general policy, the product-specific term will control if it was clearly disclosed before purchase.

Nothing in this policy limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived.

2. Commercial and Industrial Products

Most products sold by Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. are designed for commercial, institutional, governmental, or industrial use.

Customers are responsible for confirming that the product ordered is suitable for the intended application, including, when applicable:

  • Horsepower;

  • CFM capacity;

  • Operating pressure;

  • Maximum pressure;

  • Voltage;

  • Electrical phase;

  • Frequency;

  • Full-load amperage;

  • Tank size;

  • Physical dimensions;

  • Connection size;

  • Inlet temperature;

  • Ambient temperature;

  • Dew point;

  • Ventilation requirements;

  • Installation clearances; and

  • Applicable electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire, building, and safety codes.

Product recommendations are based on the information supplied by the customer. Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. is not responsible for an incorrect selection resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or omitted information provided by the customer.

A product that was correctly supplied according to the customer’s order is not considered defective merely because it is unsuitable for an application that was not accurately disclosed before purchase.

3. Product Availability and Lead Times

Products displayed on our website are not necessarily stocked at our facility or available for immediate shipment.

Products may be:

  • In stock at our facility;

  • In stock at a manufacturer or distributor;

  • Factory-direct;

  • Built to order;

  • Special order;

  • Custom configured;

  • Temporarily backordered; or

  • Subject to manufacturer production scheduling.

Lead Time Meaning

Unless specifically stated otherwise, a lead time is the estimated amount of time before the product is shipped. It is not an estimated delivery date.

Transit time begins after shipment and is separate from the product lead time.

When lead time is stated in business days or weeks, weekends, holidays, manufacturer shutdowns, and carrier transit time are not included unless specifically stated otherwise.

The lead-time period generally begins only after:

  • The order has been submitted;

  • Payment has been authorized or received;

  • Required specifications have been confirmed;

  • Required approvals or drawings have been completed;

  • Tax-exemption documentation has been accepted, when applicable; and

  • Any requested customer changes have been resolved.

Estimated Lead Times

Lead times are based on information reasonably available from manufacturers, distributors, warehouses, and carriers at the time the estimate is provided.

Lead times may change because of production conditions, component shortages, factory scheduling, weather, transportation disruptions, labor conditions, government action, natural disasters, or other circumstances.

A lead time identified as an estimate is not a guaranteed delivery date. However, Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. will maintain a reasonable basis for any shipment timeframe represented to the customer.

Customer Acceptance of Lead Time

By ordering a product with a disclosed lead time, the customer acknowledges that:

  • The product may not be available for immediate shipment;

  • The stated lead time refers to shipment rather than delivery;

  • Transit time is additional;

  • The lead time may be supplied by a manufacturer or distributor;

  • The customer has considered the lead time before placing the order; and

  • The passage of fewer days than the accepted lead time does not constitute a shipping delay.

Customers who require delivery by a particular date must obtain written confirmation from Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. before ordering.

A requested delivery date is not binding unless Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. expressly confirms it in writing as a guaranteed shipment or delivery commitment.

4. Shipment Delays

If Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. learns that an order cannot be shipped within the shipment timeframe represented to the customer, we will provide a delay notice as required by applicable law.

The notice may include:

  • A revised estimated shipment date;

  • A statement that a revised shipment date is not yet available;

  • The reason for an indefinite delay, when required;

  • An opportunity to accept the revised shipment timeframe; and

  • An opportunity to cancel and receive a full and prompt refund when required by law.

When affirmative consent to an extended delay is required, the order may be canceled if the customer does not provide that consent within the required period.

A customer who accepts a revised shipment timeframe remains subject to the terms of the revised shipment agreement, except that legally required cancellation and refund rights remain available.

5. Order Changes

Requests to change an order after submission are not guaranteed.

Changes involving voltage, phase, horsepower, pressure, tank size, dryer selection, options, controls, accessories, configuration, delivery location, or other specifications may result in:

  • Additional charges;

  • A revised lead time;

  • Manufacturer change-order charges;

  • Loss of return eligibility;

  • Cancellation and re-entry of the original order; or

  • The product becoming a custom or non-returnable product.

A requested reduction in order quantity or order value may be treated as a partial customer-requested cancellation.

No order change is effective until confirmed in writing by Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc.

6. Order Cancellations

Cancellation requests must be made as soon as possible.

A cancellation request is not effective until it has been reviewed and confirmed in writing by Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc.

Submitting a cancellation request does not guarantee that an order can be canceled without charge.

Stock and Unshipped Products

A standard stock-product order may generally be canceled before shipment, subject to:

  • Actual non-refundable payment-processing costs;

  • Manufacturer or distributor cancellation charges;

  • Procurement costs already incurred;

  • Special handling charges; and

  • Other charges disclosed before purchase.

Customer-Requested Cancellation Charge

When a customer voluntarily requests cancellation after payment has been processed, and the order remains within the shipment lead time disclosed and accepted at the time of purchase, Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. may deduct a Customer-Requested Cancellation Charge from the refund.

The Customer-Requested Cancellation Charge will equal the actual non-refundable third-party payment-processing costs incurred by Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. in connection with the canceled transaction.

The charge will not exceed 3.5% of the canceled amount.

For a partial cancellation, the charge will be limited to the proportionate payment-processing cost attributable to the canceled portion of the order.

This charge is intended to reimburse an actual cost incurred by Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. It is not intended as a penalty or a source of profit.

The Customer-Requested Cancellation Charge may apply when:

  • The customer changes their mind;

  • The customer no longer needs the equipment;

  • The customer did not adequately consider the disclosed lead time;

  • The customer expected delivery sooner than the disclosed lead time;

  • The customer found another product or supplier;

  • The customer ordered the wrong size, voltage, phase, capacity, or configuration;

  • The customer’s project was delayed or canceled; or

  • The cancellation is otherwise unrelated to a failure by Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. to meet an applicable shipment commitment.

When the Processing-Cost Deduction Does Not Apply

The Customer-Requested Cancellation Charge will not apply when:

  • Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. cannot ship within the shipment timeframe represented to the customer and applicable law requires a full refund;

  • Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. elects not to fulfill the order;

  • The ordered product is no longer available;

  • The cancellation results from our confirmed order-entry or product-listing error;

  • The customer was charged for a product that was not ordered; or

  • Applicable law requires a refund of the entire amount paid.

Manufacturer Cancellation Charges

Factory-direct, special-order, custom-configured, and built-to-order products may be subject to separate manufacturer cancellation charges.

These charges may be imposed in addition to the actual non-refundable payment-processing costs when:

  • The manufacturer has accepted the purchase order;

  • Materials have been ordered;

  • Components have been allocated;

  • Engineering or configuration has begun;

  • Drawings have been created or approved;

  • Production has been scheduled;

  • Assembly has begun; or

  • The manufacturer otherwise incurs costs because of the cancellation.

Manufacturer cancellation charges will be based on the manufacturer’s requirements or the actual costs incurred and will not be imposed as an arbitrary penalty.

Built-to-Order, Special-Order and Custom Products

Built-to-order, special-order, and custom-configured products may become non-cancelable once the manufacturer accepts the order or begins procurement, engineering, configuration, assembly, or production.

This includes products configured for a particular:

  • Voltage;

  • Phase;

  • Horsepower;

  • Pressure;

  • Tank;

  • Control system;

  • Dryer;

  • Application;

  • Installation; or

  • Customer specification.

If cancellation is accepted, the refund may be reduced by actual costs incurred, payment-processing costs, manufacturer charges, and other reasonable cancellation damages permitted by law.

Nothing in this section eliminates cancellation or refund rights that cannot legally be waived, including rights arising from a shipment delay for which applicable law requires a full refund.

7. Cancellations After Shipment

An order cannot be canceled after it has shipped.

Once a product has shipped, an eligible product may only be handled as a return under the return provisions of this policy.

Shipping charges are non-refundable after shipment except when:

  • Required by applicable law;

  • Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. confirms that the wrong product was shipped because of our error; or

  • A different written agreement applies.

8. Refused, Missed and Undeliverable Shipments

Refusing delivery does not automatically cancel an order or create a right to a full refund.

When a shipment is refused, missed, returned, delayed, or redirected because of customer action or inaccurate customer information, the customer is responsible for all resulting charges, including:

  • Original outbound shipping;

  • Return freight;

  • Redelivery;

  • Reconsignment;

  • Address correction;

  • Storage;

  • Detention;

  • Layover;

  • Limited-access charges;

  • Residential-delivery charges;

  • Liftgate charges;

  • Restocking charges;

  • Manufacturer charges; and

  • Other carrier or handling expenses.

These charges may be deducted from any refund for which the product is otherwise eligible.

Non-returnable products remain non-returnable when the customer refuses delivery.

9. Return Authorization

A Return Merchandise Authorization number must be obtained from Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. before any product is returned.

To request an RMA, the customer must contact us within 14 calendar days of the original delivery date.

An RMA request must include:

  • Customer name;

  • Order number;

  • Product name;

  • Manufacturer;

  • Model number;

  • Serial number, when applicable;

  • Reason for the return;

  • Photographs of the product;

  • Photographs of the original packaging; and

  • Any other information reasonably requested to evaluate the return.

Issuance of an RMA does not guarantee that a refund will be approved. Final approval is subject to inspection of the returned product.

Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

Products returned without authorization may be:

  • Refused;

  • Returned to the customer at the customer’s expense;

  • Stored at the customer’s expense; or

  • Considered abandoned after reasonable notice, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Return Shipment Deadline

Unless different written instructions are provided, the customer must tender the authorized return to the approved carrier within 10 calendar days after the RMA is issued.

The tracking or freight documentation must show that the return was shipped within that period.

An RMA may expire if the product is not shipped by the deadline.

Expired RMAs may require a new review and may be denied.

11. Return Condition Requirements

To be eligible for consideration, a returned product must be:

  • New;

  • Unused;

  • Uninstalled;

  • Unwired;

  • Unaltered;

  • Undamaged;

  • Clean;

  • Complete;

  • In sellable condition; and

  • In its complete original manufacturer packaging.

The return must include all:

  • Manuals;

  • Hardware;

  • Accessories;

  • Cords;

  • Fittings;

  • Mounting components;

  • Labels;

  • Serial-number markings;

  • Warranty documents;

  • Protective materials; and

  • Other items originally included with the product.

Products showing evidence of installation, operation, alteration, contamination, improper storage, careless handling, or inadequate return packaging may be denied a refund.

12. Restocking Fee

Approved discretionary returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee calculated from the merchandise purchase price before tax and shipping.

A different manufacturer restocking fee may apply to a factory-direct or manufacturer-controlled return when that fee was disclosed before purchase or is required as a condition of manufacturer approval.

The restocking fee does not apply when Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. confirms that:

  • We shipped a product different from the product ordered;

  • We shipped the wrong quantity;

  • The return results solely from our confirmed order-entry error; or

  • Applicable law prohibits the fee.

Freight-damage and warranty matters are handled under the separate sections below and are not automatically treated as discretionary returns.

13. Return Shipping and Insurance

Unless Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. confirms otherwise in writing, the customer is responsible for:

  • Arranging return transportation;

  • Paying return shipping or freight;

  • Properly packaging the product;

  • Insuring the shipment for its full value; and

  • Using a traceable shipping method.

Returns must be shipped prepaid. Collect-on-delivery returns will not be accepted.

The return address will be provided with the RMA. Products must not be returned to our office, warehouse, distributor, or manufacturer without written instructions.

The customer is responsible for loss or damage occurring during return transportation.

A refund may be denied or reduced if the product is damaged because of:

  • Inadequate packaging;

  • Failure to use the original pallet or crate;

  • Improper strapping;

  • Exposure to weather;

  • Improper carrier selection;

  • Failure to insure the shipment; or

  • Other deficiencies in the return shipment.

14. Refund Calculation

After an approved return is received and inspected, the refund will be calculated from the amount paid for the approved returned merchandise, less any applicable:

  • Restocking fee;

  • Actual outbound shipping or freight cost;

  • Return freight paid or arranged by us;

  • Customer-Requested Cancellation Charge;

  • Manufacturer cancellation or return charge;

  • Missing-part charge;

  • Replacement-packaging cost;

  • Repair cost;

  • Cleaning cost;

  • Diminished-value deduction;

  • Storage charge;

  • Redelivery or reconsignment cost; and

  • Other documented charges permitted by this policy or applicable law.

Taxes will be refunded as required by applicable law.

15. Free-Shipping Orders

“Free shipping” means that Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc., the manufacturer, or the distributor paid the standard outbound transportation cost on the customer’s behalf.

Free shipping does not mean that transportation had no cost.

When a free-shipping order is voluntarily returned for reasons unrelated to our confirmed error, verified freight damage, or a legally required full refund, the actual original outbound shipping or freight cost may be deducted from the refund.

The customer is also responsible for return shipping.

As a result, both the outbound and return transportation costs may apply to a returned free-shipping order.

16. Refund Timing and Method

Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method.

Refunds for approved returns will be initiated within 10 business days after inspection and final approval.

Refunds required because an unshipped order cannot be fulfilled within an applicable shipment commitment will be initiated within the period required by applicable law.

After Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. initiates a refund, the customer’s bank, credit card issuer, payment provider, or financial institution controls how long it takes for the credit to appear.

A refund confirmation from Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. does not mean the customer’s financial institution will display the funds immediately.

Store credit will not be substituted when applicable law requires a monetary refund.

17. Non-Returnable and Final-Sale Products

The following products are non-returnable unless Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. provides express written authorization:

  • Electrical components;

  • Electronic components;

  • Control panels;

  • Circuit boards;

  • Variable-frequency drives;

  • Motors;

  • Starters;

  • Contactors;

  • Switches;

  • Sensors;

  • Solenoids;

  • Coils;

  • Champion piping products;

  • Infinity piping products;

  • Cut or assembled piping;

  • Opened lubricants;

  • Opened chemicals;

  • Opened filters;

  • Opened maintenance kits;

  • Opened consumables;

  • Built-to-order products;

  • Special-order products;

  • Custom-manufactured products;

  • Custom-configured systems;

  • Products configured for a specific voltage or phase;

  • Products configured for a specific pressure or application;

  • Installed products;

  • Wired products;

  • Operated products;

  • Tested products;

  • Altered products;

  • Used products;

  • Products with broken manufacturer seals;

  • Products missing original packaging;

  • Products missing manuals, accessories, parts, or labels;

  • Clearance products;

  • Products identified as “Final Sale”; and

  • Any product identified as non-returnable on its product page, quotation, invoice, or order acknowledgment.

Non-returnable status does not eliminate rights that may apply to:

  • A product shipped because of our confirmed error;

  • Verified freight damage;

  • A valid manufacturer warranty claim; or

  • A right that cannot legally be waived.

18. Factory-Direct Products

Many products are shipped directly from a manufacturer or distributor.

Factory-direct returns require authorization from Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. and may also require authorization from the manufacturer.

Manufacturer-specific requirements may include:

  • Inspection;

  • Photographs;

  • Troubleshooting;

  • Serial-number verification;

  • Return approval;

  • A particular freight carrier;

  • A specific return address;

  • A manufacturer RMA;

  • Restocking fees; and

  • Other restrictions.

Customers must not return a factory-direct product directly to the manufacturer unless written authorization and shipping instructions have been provided.

19. Shipping Terms and Risk of Loss

Unless otherwise stated in writing, commercial freight orders ship FOB Shipping Point, also referred to as FOB Origin, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

For a commercial shipment contract, risk of loss generally passes to the buyer when the goods are duly delivered to the carrier, subject to:

  • The applicable bill of lading;

  • Carrier liability;

  • Freight-claim rights;

  • This policy;

  • Any contrary written agreement; and

  • Applicable law.

For products purchased primarily for personal, family, or household use, risk of loss is governed by applicable consumer law.

Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. will provide reasonable assistance with a properly documented freight claim. Claim approval, inspection, repair, replacement, and payment may be controlled by the carrier, insurer, distributor, or manufacturer.

20. Freight Transit and Delivery Estimates

Freight transit and delivery dates are estimates unless guaranteed service is purchased and confirmed in writing.

Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. is not responsible for ordinary carrier delays occurring after the product has been timely delivered to the carrier, including delays caused by:

  • Weather;

  • Traffic;

  • Mechanical failure;

  • Terminal congestion;

  • Labor shortages;

  • Missed appointments;

  • Natural disasters;

  • Government action;

  • Carrier routing;

  • Capacity limitations; or

  • Other transportation conditions outside our control.

This provision does not excuse our responsibility for an incorrect shipment or eliminate rights that cannot legally be waived.

21. Freight Delivery Requirements

Standard freight delivery generally means delivery to an accessible commercial address with suitable unloading equipment.

Unless specifically included in writing, freight delivery does not include:

  • Residential delivery;

  • Limited-access delivery;

  • Construction-site delivery;

  • Inside delivery;

  • Unpacking;

  • Installation;

  • Liftgate service;

  • Forklift service;

  • Crane service;

  • Rigging;

  • Removal from the delivery vehicle;

  • Storage;

  • Redelivery;

  • Reconsignment; or

  • Removal or disposal of existing equipment.

The customer is responsible for providing:

  • An accurate delivery address;

  • Accurate contact information;

  • An accessible delivery location;

  • Qualified personnel;

  • A loading dock, forklift, crane, or other appropriate unloading equipment;

  • Safe working conditions; and

  • Sufficient space to receive and inspect the shipment.

The customer is responsible for carrier charges resulting from inaccurate information, unavailable personnel, inadequate unloading equipment, restricted access, missed appointments, storage, redelivery, reconsignment, or services requested at delivery.

22. Freight Inspection Before Signing

Freight shipments must be inspected carefully before the delivery receipt is signed.

Before the driver leaves, the customer or receiving representative must:

  1. Count all pieces and compare the count with the delivery receipt.

  2. Inspect the pallet, crate, packaging, straps, wrapping, and exposed portions of the product.

  3. Look for punctures, tears, dents, crushed areas, broken boards, missing straps, shifted loads, oil leaks, water exposure, and other irregularities.

  4. Photograph the shipment from multiple angles.

  5. Note every visible shortage or indication of damage on the delivery receipt.

  6. Keep a copy of the delivery receipt showing the notation.

Do not sign a clean delivery receipt when visible damage or a shortage exists.

General statements such as “subject to inspection” may not adequately describe visible damage. The damage should be described specifically.

Examples include:

  • “Crate punctured on right side.”

  • “Pallet broken.”

  • “Compressor enclosure dented.”

  • “One carton missing.”

  • “Shipment leaning and straps broken.”

  • “Possible concealed damage due to crushed packaging.”

Severe Visible Damage

If the product is visibly damaged, substantially destroyed, unsafe to unload, or appears to have suffered major freight damage, refuse delivery and contact Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. immediately.

Possible or Minor Damage

If the packaging is damaged but the condition of the product cannot be determined, write a detailed damage notation on the delivery receipt before signing.

Acceptance of a shipment with properly documented damage does not automatically eliminate a freight claim.

23. Concealed Freight Damage

Concealed freight damage is damage discovered after delivery when the exterior packaging did not clearly reveal the damage.

Concealed damage must be reported to Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. immediately, preferably within 24 hours of delivery.

Prompt reporting is necessary to preserve evidence and improve the likelihood of carrier or manufacturer approval.

The customer must:

  • Stop unpacking when damage is discovered;

  • Keep all packaging;

  • Keep the pallet or crate;

  • Keep all straps and protective materials;

  • Photograph the product and packaging;

  • Provide the delivery receipt;

  • Provide the order number;

  • Provide the model and serial number;

  • Avoid operating or installing the product;

  • Avoid repairing the product;

  • Avoid relocating the product unless necessary for safety; and

  • Make the product and packaging available for inspection.

Failure to preserve the product, packaging, pallet, crate, or other evidence may result in denial of the claim by the carrier or manufacturer.

The 24-hour notification request is intended to preserve evidence and facilitate a timely claim. It does not eliminate a right that cannot legally be waived.

24. Freight Shortages

Visible shortages must be noted on the delivery receipt before signing.

Concealed shortages, missing components, or missing packages must be reported within two business days of delivery.

The customer may be required to provide:

  • Photographs;

  • Packaging information;

  • Product labels;

  • Serial numbers;

  • Packing lists;

  • Delivery receipts; and

  • Other documentation.

Failure to document a visible shortage at delivery may materially impair the ability to recover from the carrier.

25. Incorrect Products

An incorrect product must be reported within two business days of delivery.

The customer must not install, wire, operate, alter, or discard an allegedly incorrect product.

The customer must provide photographs of:

  • The complete product;

  • The model label;

  • The serial-number label;

  • The packaging;

  • The shipping label; and

  • The packing slip.

If Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. confirms that the incorrect product was shipped because of our error, we will provide reasonable return instructions and an appropriate remedy.

A correctly shipped product ordered with an incorrect customer-selected voltage, phase, model, capacity, pressure, size, or configuration is not considered an incorrect shipment by Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc.

26. Defective Products and Warranty Claims

A return request is different from a warranty claim.

A product suspected of being defective should be reported to Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. or the manufacturer within 15 calendar days of delivery so that troubleshooting and any available initial-failure procedures can begin promptly.

Reporting within 15 days does not shorten an applicable written manufacturer warranty.

Customers should be prepared to provide:

  • Order number;

  • Manufacturer;

  • Model number;

  • Serial number;

  • Installation date;

  • Voltage;

  • Phase;

  • Measured electrical readings;

  • Operating pressure;

  • Photographs;

  • Video;

  • A description of the issue; and

  • Troubleshooting steps already completed.

Most manufacturers require troubleshooting before authorizing:

  • Replacement parts;

  • Field service;

  • Product replacement;

  • Return shipment; or

  • Warranty credit.

Warranty eligibility, coverage, procedures, and remedies are determined by the manufacturer under the manufacturer’s written warranty.

A suspected defect does not automatically authorize a return, replacement, chargeback, field repair, or reimbursement.

Unless expressly covered by the manufacturer’s warranty or agreed to in writing, warranty remedies do not include reimbursement for:

  • Labor;

  • Travel;

  • Diagnosis;

  • Removal;

  • Reinstallation;

  • Rigging;

  • Crane service;

  • Electrical work;

  • Plumbing;

  • Rental equipment;

  • Substitute equipment;

  • Lost production;

  • Lost profits;

  • Business interruption; or

  • Other incidental or consequential expenses.

Damage caused by improper voltage, incorrect phase, improper installation, inadequate ventilation, incorrect rotation, contamination, misuse, neglect, lack of maintenance, unauthorized modification, freezing, moisture, improper storage, or operation contrary to manufacturer instructions is not considered a return and may not be covered by warranty.

27. Installation and Use

A product that has been installed, wired, piped, operated, tested, altered, programmed, or used is not eligible for a discretionary return.

Customers should verify the product model, voltage, phase, capacity, dimensions, and condition before installation.

Installation or operation may affect:

  • Return eligibility;

  • Freight-claim eligibility;

  • Warranty eligibility; and

  • The ability to determine when or how damage occurred.

Damage caused by incorrect installation is not covered under this return policy.

A warranty claim may be submitted, but approval is subject to the manufacturer’s written warranty and claim procedures.

28. Policy Changes

The version of this policy in effect on the date an order is placed will apply to that order.

Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc. may revise this policy for future orders.

A later revision will not retroactively change the cancellation or return terms applicable to an existing order unless:

  • Required by law; or

  • Agreed to in writing by both parties.

29. Severability

If any provision of this policy is found unenforceable, unlawful, or invalid, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent legally permitted or severed as necessary.

The remaining provisions will remain in effect.

30. No Oral Modification

No employee, manufacturer, distributor, sales representative, freight carrier, or other person may modify this policy orally.

Any exception or modification must be confirmed in writing by an authorized representative of Compressed Air Advisors Online, Inc.
