Description

Tsunami 20 CFM 2-Stage Membrane Air Dryer, PN: 21999-0357

Short Product Description

The Tsunami 21999-0357 20 CFM 2-Stage Membrane Air Dryer delivers clean, dry compressed air without electricity, refrigerant, or complicated controls. Designed for point-of-use applications, this compact system combines a 50 Series water separator, oil coalescing filter, membrane dryer, automatic float drains, and outlet regulator into one complete package.

With dew point suppression of up to 140°F and relative humidity levels as low as 0.01% RH, the 21999-0357 is an excellent solution for applications where dependable moisture removal and high-quality compressed air are critical.

Full Product Description

The Tsunami 21999-0357 Membrane Air Dryer uses simple, proven membrane drying technology to remove water vapor from compressed air without requiring electrical power.

Compressed air first passes through Tsunami's integrated 2-stage pre-filtration system. The water separator removes bulk liquid water and contaminants, while the oil coalescing filter removes fine oil aerosols and particulates down to 0.01 micron before the compressed air reaches the membrane.

Inside the membrane dryer, compressed air passes through specially designed hollow-fiber tubes. Water vapor migrates through microscopic pores in the membrane while the compressed air continues through the fibers. A small amount of dry sweep air carries the separated water vapor out of the dryer housing.

The result is consistently dry compressed air with no refrigerant system, electrical connection, moving dryer components, or desiccant to regenerate.

The 21999-0357 is rated for 20 CFM, features 1/2" NPT connections, and can operate at pressures up to 175 PSI.

Benefits

Dry Air Without Electricity

The membrane drying process requires no electrical power, making the 21999-0357 an excellent choice for remote installations, point-of-use applications, and locations where adding electrical service is inconvenient or expensive.

Excellent Moisture Removal

Tsunami membrane technology provides dew point suppression of up to 140°F, helping protect pneumatic equipment, finishes, processes, and downstream components from moisture-related problems.

Built-In Pre-Filtration

The integrated water separator and oil coalescing filter protect the membrane from liquid water, oil aerosols, and contamination.

Low Maintenance

There are no refrigeration components, electrical controls, refrigerant circuits, or regenerating desiccant beds to maintain.

Serviceable Design

The filtration components and membrane dryer core are replaceable, allowing routine service without replacing the complete dryer assembly.

2-Stage Pre-Filtration

Proper filtration is critical to membrane dryer performance. The 21999-0357 includes Tsunami 50 Series pre-filtration before the membrane dryer.

Stage 1 – Water Separator

The first stage removes bulk liquid water and larger contaminants from the compressed air stream before they can reach the downstream coalescing filter and membrane.

Stage 2 – Oil Coalescing Filter

The second stage removes fine oil aerosols and particulates down to 0.01 micron, providing the clean compressed air necessary for proper membrane performance.

Both filtration stages incorporate automatic float drains to discharge accumulated condensate.

How the Tsunami Membrane Dryer Works

  1. Compressed air enters the pre-filtration system.
  2. The water separator removes bulk liquid water and contamination.
  3. The oil coalescing filter removes fine oil aerosols and particulates before the air reaches the membrane.
  4. Compressed air travels through microscopic hollow-fiber membrane tubes.
  5. Water vapor passes through the membrane walls while the compressed air continues through the fibers.
  6. A controlled amount of dry sweep air travels around the outside of the membrane fibers.
  7. The sweep air carries water vapor out of the dryer housing.
  8. Clean, dry compressed air exits through the outlet regulator and continues downstream to the application.

Why Choose the Tsunami 21999-0357?

The Tsunami 21999-0357 is an excellent alternative to traditional refrigerated or desiccant drying systems when a compact, low-maintenance point-of-use dryer is needed.

Its combination of 20 CFM capacity, 2-stage filtration, membrane drying technology, automatic drains, and an outlet regulator creates a complete compressed air treatment package in a relatively small footprint.

Because the dryer requires no electricity, installation can also be considerably simpler in applications where electrical service is limited or unavailable.
