The JORC MINI-MAG 3952 is a compact, magnetically operated zero-air-loss drain designed primarily for compressed air filters. It automatically removes accumulated condensate without wasting valuable compressed air and requires no electricity, timer, control air, or external power source.
Unlike conventional timer-operated drains that open at preset intervals whether condensate is present or not, the MINI-MAG uses magnetic level-sensing technology. The drain opens only when condensate needs to be discharged and closes without releasing compressed air from the system. This helps reduce unnecessary air loss, compressor runtime, and energy consumption.
Its compact design makes the MINI-MAG an excellent replacement for unreliable internal float drains, especially where installation space is limited. The corrosion-resistant aluminum housing, direct-acting valve assembly, built-in air-lock prevention, and serviceable construction provide dependable condensate removal in demanding compressed air applications.
The JORC MINI-MAG 3952 is ideal for automatically draining condensate from:
A conventional timer drain may discharge compressed air every time it opens, even when little or no condensate is present. The MINI-MAG responds to the actual condensate level, allowing it to discharge collected liquid without intentionally bleeding compressed air from the system.
Reducing unnecessary air loss can help lower compressor operating costs, decrease compressor cycling, and maintain more consistent system pressure.
No. The MINI-MAG operates through magnetic forces and does not require electricity, batteries, control air, or an external power source.
Yes. It discharges condensate based on the liquid level and is designed to close without wasting compressed air.
Part number 3952 is designed primarily for installation underneath compressed air filters. Its compact size makes it well suited for filter applications with limited clearance.
The 3952 MINI-MAG has one 1/2" NPT inlet and is designed primarily for compressed air filters. The 3954 MAG-11 has two inlet positions for greater installation flexibility and is commonly used on refrigerated dryers, separators, aftercoolers, and other condensate collection points.
The MINI-MAG 3952 is rated for compressed air systems operating from 0 to 230 PSI.
The maximum rated drainage capacity is 38 gallons per hour at 230 PSI.
Yes. The direct-acting valve is serviceable, and service kits are available.
No. There are no timers or operating intervals to program. The drain operates automatically according to the condensate level.
Yes. The bottom outlet can be rotated 360 degrees to simplify installation and routing of the discharge tubing.
The drain carries a NEMA 6 / IP68 environmental protection rating. Installation must still follow JORC’s instructions and remain within the specified ambient and operating temperature ranges.
