Air Compressor Technicians
Compressed Air Advisors, Inc. is a Chicagoland based air compressor distributor and we are expanding our service department in the Chicagoland area. We are looking for all levels of technicians to complete this expansion. Compressed Air Advisors is a proud distributor of over 30 manufacturers both locally and nationwide via our eCommerce website.
Senior Service Technician
This position is for an experienced technician that is overly competent in all things related to compressed air. The candidate should excel at troubleshooting and performing diagnostics on malfunctioning equipment. They should also be a jack of all trades and able to mentor younger technicians. This position also will have the potential to roll up into becoming the overall service manager or other leadership role in the future.
Main functions:
- Carry out preventative and quoted maintenance on the client’s compressed air system
- Troubleshoot and repair air compressors and air dryers
- Start-up and commission new equipment as per manufacturers' checklist
- Accurately document all service reports
- Installation of compressed air piping
- Ability to read electrical schematics and blue prints
- Willingness to train junior technicians
Job requirements:
- MUST HAVE: 5 years of Compressed Air experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting Industrial Air Compressors
- MUST HAVE: 5 years Mechanical experience
- Strong computer skills
- MUST HAVE: Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- MUST HAVE: Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of piping and airlines is an asset
- MUST HAVE: Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Available to answer service calls outside of normal working hours on a rotating basis
- Due to our customer base, there is a requirement, at times, to pass high level security clearances
Service Technician
This position is for a person who has 1-5 years of air compressor experience. This person will know compressed air basics and be familiar with a majority of compressed air equipment. The Service Technician candidate will be looking to continue their education, become more proficient with their skills and provide excellent customer service.

Entry Level Technician
This position is for someone who is new or very inexperienced in the compressed air industry. This candidate should be interested in learning a trade and building a career. Compressed Air Advisors will provide training from various sources including in-house, vendor job site, and industry organizations.
