The Altec AIR HR5 Heatless Desiccant Air Dryer delivers ultra-dry compressed air for systems up to 16 SCFM, making it an excellent solution for small industrial compressed air systems and point-of-use drying applications where moisture control is critical. Built with a twin-tower heatless regenerative desiccant design, the HR5 continuously removes moisture from compressed air while automatically regenerating the desiccant in the alternate tower, ensuring reliable drying performance and a consistent supply of clean, dry air.
With a standard -40°F pressure dew point, the HR5 protects pneumatic tools, spray equipment, instrumentation, and sensitive manufacturing processes from moisture contamination that can cause corrosion, freezing, and costly equipment damage. Its compact design allows for easy installation in equipment rooms, compressor packages, or directly at the point of use where dry air is required.
The HR5 is engineered for durability and long service life. Spring-loaded desiccant beds help extend desiccant life, while the fully re-pressurizing tower design maintains steady outlet pressure and airflow during tower switching cycles. The dryer also features a NEMA 4X electrical rating, ensuring dependable performance in demanding industrial environments.
