Tsunami 20 Series Moisture Minder Filter Drain – 21999-0792

Automatically remove accumulated condensate from your Tsunami filtration system with the Tsunami 21999-0792 Moisture Minder Filter Drain. Designed specifically for 20 Series Tsunami filters, this pneumatic drain mounts directly to the bottom of the filter housing for dependable automatic condensate removal.

Unlike an electronic drain, the Moisture Minder operates pneumatically and requires only an intermittent pilot signal to cycle. It can utilize an available pneumatic signal from the compressed air system or be paired with a Tsunami Drain Minder II Controller when a suitable pilot signal is not available.

Key Features

  • Genuine Tsunami Moisture Minder pneumatic filter drain
  • Designed for 20 Series Tsunami filters
  • Mounts directly to the bottom of the Tsunami filter housing
  • Automatically removes accumulated condensate
  • Requires an intermittent pneumatic pilot signal
  • No electrical connection required at the drain
  • Helps eliminate the need for manual filter draining
  • Designed to operate without unnecessary compressed air loss
  • Maximum operating pressure of 250 PSI
  • Maximum operating temperature of 175°F
  • Made in the USA

How the Moisture Minder Works

Condensate collects inside the drain during normal filter operation. When the drain receives a pilot signal, the internal piston shifts and allows the accumulated condensate to enter the pressurized discharge reservoir.

When the pilot signal is removed, the piston returns to its resting position and the stored condensate is automatically discharged.

This pneumatic design provides reliable condensate removal without relying on an electrical timer or continuously bleeding compressed air.

Pilot Signal Requirements

The Tsunami 21999-0792 requires an intermittent pneumatic pilot signal to operate.

The pilot signal can come from:

  • An available intermittent pneumatic signal within the compressed air system
  • A compressor unloader signal, when appropriate
  • A Tsunami Drain Minder II Controller when another suitable pilot signal is not available

The Drain Minder II can provide the timed pneumatic signal required to operate Moisture Minder drains.

Why Use an Automatic Filter Drain?

Moisture removed by a water separator or coalescing filter collects at the bottom of the filter housing. If this condensate is not regularly discharged, it can build up and potentially be carried back into the compressed air stream.

Automatic condensate drainage helps:

  • Prevent water from accumulating inside the filter housing
  • Reduce manual filter maintenance
  • Protect downstream air treatment equipment
  • Reduce moisture reaching pneumatic tools and equipment
  • Maintain proper filter performance
  • Reduce unnecessary compressed air loss associated with manual draining
  • Improve overall compressed air system reliability
