Description
Tsunami RSD-015 15 CFM Refrigerated Air Dryer – 3/4″ NPT, 115V
The Tsunami RSD-015 Refrigerated Air Dryer provides reliable moisture removal for compressed air systems up to 15 CFM. Designed for shops, small manufacturing systems, and light industrial applications, the RSD-015 delivers a consistent refrigerated dew point while helping protect air tools, equipment, piping, and finished products from moisture-related problems.
With 115V single-phase power, 3/4″ NPT connections, an integrated automatic condensate drain, and a compact footprint, the RSD-015 is an easy-to-integrate solution for smaller compressed air systems.
Full Product Description
Moisture is one of the biggest enemies of a compressed air system. The Tsunami RSD-015 Refrigerated Air Dryer removes excess water vapor by cooling compressed air, condensing the moisture, separating it from the air stream, and automatically discharging the collected condensate.
Rated for 15 CFM, the RSD-015 is designed for general-purpose compressed air applications where a refrigerated dew point is appropriate. The dryer maintains an approximate 37.4°F to 50°F pressure dew point, helping reduce water in downstream piping, pneumatic tools, machinery, and production processes.
Tsunami's air-to-air heat exchanger uses the incoming warm compressed air to reheat the treated air leaving the dryer while simultaneously pre-cooling the incoming air. This efficient heat-transfer process contributes to a compact design and low pressure drop.
The RSD-015 operates on standard 115V/1-phase/60 Hz power, includes an electronically controlled condensate drain, and is designed for automatic operation once properly installed.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size compressor can the RSD-015 be used with?
The RSD-015 is rated for a maximum airflow of 15 CFM under its rated operating conditions. Dryer capacity should always be checked against the compressor's actual airflow, pressure, inlet air temperature, and ambient temperature.
What dew point does the Tsunami RSD-015 provide?
The RSD Series is designed to provide an approximate 37.4°F to 50°F refrigerated dew point, depending on operating conditions.
Does the RSD-015 have an automatic drain?
Yes. The dryer includes an electronically controlled automatic condensate drain, eliminating the need to routinely drain collected moisture by hand.
What electrical power does the RSD-015 require?
The RSD-015 operates on 115V, single-phase, 60 Hz power.
What size air connections does it use?
The RSD-015 has 3/4″ NPT inlet and outlet connections.
What is the maximum operating pressure?
The maximum rated inlet air pressure is 232 PSI.
Do I need a prefilter before the dryer?
Yes, proper upstream filtration is recommended to prevent particulate and oil contamination from accumulating inside the heat exchanger. A prefilter is also required as part of Tsunami's RSD warranty requirements.
How do I properly size a refrigerated air dryer?
Dryer sizing should consider more than compressor CFM alone. Inlet pressure, inlet air temperature, ambient temperature, and desired outlet dew point can all change the dryer's effective capacity.
