Description
Tsunami RSD-050 50 CFM Refrigerated Air Dryer – 3/4″ NPT, 115V
Short Product Description
The Tsunami RSD-050 Refrigerated Air Dryer provides dependable moisture removal for compressed air systems up to 50 CFM. Designed for automotive shops, manufacturing facilities, woodworking, metal fabrication, and general industrial applications, the RSD-050 helps protect pneumatic equipment, piping, and finished products from moisture-related problems.
With 115V single-phase power, 3/4″ NPT connections, an integrated automatic condensate drain, and less than 1 PSI pressure drop, the RSD-050 delivers reliable refrigerated air treatment in a compact package.
Full Product Description
The Tsunami RSD-050 Refrigerated Air Dryer is engineered to remove excess water vapor from compressed air before moisture can reach downstream piping, pneumatic tools, machinery, and production equipment.
Rated for 50 CFM, the RSD-050 cools incoming compressed air to condense water vapor from the airstream. The condensed moisture is then separated and automatically discharged through the dryer's integrated condensate drain system.
The RSD Series utilizes an efficient air-to-air heat exchanger that pre-cools incoming compressed air while reheating the treated air before it exits the dryer. This design provides reliable moisture removal while maintaining a pressure drop of less than 1 PSI.
Designed for everyday use, the RSD-050 operates on 115V / 1 Phase / 60 Hz power and runs automatically once properly installed.

Why Choose the Tsunami RSD-050?
The RSD-050 is a strong choice for compressed air systems requiring up to 50 CFM of refrigerated drying capacity. Its combination of 115V power, automatic condensate removal, high 232 PSI pressure rating, and less than 1 PSI pressure drop makes it suitable for a broad range of shop and industrial applications.
The compact design also makes the RSD-050 easier to incorporate into existing compressed air systems where available space may be limited.
Warranty
Tsunami RSD Series refrigerated dryers are covered for 18 months from the factory shipment date or 12 months from installation/start-up, whichever occurs first, subject to Tsunami's warranty terms and requirements.
A properly sized prefilter and non-corrosive upstream piping are required for warranty coverage.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the airflow rating of the Tsunami RSD-050?
The RSD-050 is rated for 50 CFM under its rated operating conditions.
What dew point does the RSD-050 provide?
The Tsunami RSD Series is designed to provide an approximate 37.4°F to 50°F refrigerated dew point, depending on operating conditions.
Does the RSD-050 include an automatic drain?
Yes. The dryer includes an integrated electronically controlled condensate drain that automatically removes collected moisture.
What electrical power does the RSD-050 require?
The RSD-050 operates on 115V, single-phase, 60 Hz power.
What size air connections does the RSD-050 use?
The RSD-050 uses 3/4″ NPT inlet and outlet connections.
What is the maximum pressure rating?
The RSD-050 has a maximum rated inlet pressure of 232 PSI.
What is the maximum inlet temperature?
The maximum rated compressed air inlet temperature is 130°F.
Do I need a prefilter before the dryer?
Yes. Upstream filtration helps prevent oil residue and solid particles from accumulating inside the dryer's heat exchanger. Tsunami also requires a prefilter as part of the RSD Series warranty requirements.
How should I properly size the RSD-050?
Refrigerated dryer sizing should account for more than compressor CFM alone. Operating pressure, inlet air temperature, ambient temperature, and desired outlet dew point can all affect the dryer's effective capacity.
